Moodboard used in my intended final magazine

Here I've printed a moodboard to present my genre of my final design such as Rock On! The reason I chose to use this moodboard is because it gave me a good strong representation of rock.

Fonts & Colour Schemes used

For my colour scheme of my final design I chose to use 4 main colours of red, white, black and grey. The reason I chose to use these 4 main colours for my scheme is because typically rock can be represented through very dark colours and typically magazines will include too many colours therefore to keep it simple and conventional to the genre I have chosen these 4 colours.

Legal Forms To Allow usage of Artists and area

Here I have done 3 different forms to enable me the usage of different Artists and areas.

M2 : Legal and ethical issues are identified ad resolved for the planned production

Legal And Ethical issues - Red = How I will resolve

Legal Issues

. Under the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act of 1988, it is illegal to use anyone else's creative work without their permission. Breaking the Copyright Act would mean that I could be fined a substantial sum, resulting in loss of earnings and damage to my reputation. As this is the first issue of the magazine, this could mean that the magazine would be irreparably damaged. For my magazine, I will be creating all original materials. I will be taking my own photographs, so I will not be using any images illegally, and the fonts I have selected - Rock On!, American Captain and Arial - are from Da-font and are not protected by copyright, meaning that I can use them without fear of being fined.

Under the Advertising Standards Authority, it is illegal to misrepresent yourself by covertly advertising products. This means if I include advertisements through my QR code which links to my online social media I must make it clear what is being advertised. To resolve this I will be sure to State clearly on my online social medias that I am advertising a specific subject so that I am not sued by anybody for example if I was using social media to present an artist and they were wearing nike clothing and I do not state this is an advertisement I can be sued for using their logo without their permission.

I might require permission from the council to use the area chosen in the photographs for my Front cover and DP spread. To resolve this I will make sure to message the council and ask for permission to be able to use the chosen area ensuring this means I can be fully certain that I won't be sued for the use of my chosen location of Camden Town and ensure a good reputation.

. Make sure that all people being used are ok with doing specific things for the pictures.  To resolve this, I will ask them before hand what specifically they are comfortable with and what they aren't comfortable with whiles also including the use of my talent and consent release forum to be given permission by the musician to be able to take pictures and whatever I require my musician to do for my magazine to apply to my genre of rock e.g wearing specific clothes to present Rock On as a proper rock magazine.

. Fact checking to make sure your information used in writings isn't factually incorrect within Rock On. To resolve this check your facts and research thoroughly information to stop future issues with potential incorrect information as well as following the regulations given by IPSO which will regulate my magazine to ensure that Rock on doesn't give false information about a specific artist being used. I can also ensure that what I say is true by asking for permission from my artist in the release form to film them whiles interviewing them for my articles to ensure that the information I state within my articles is correct.

Bias information against an individual or group, this could potentially include discriminatory language and racism for example also ensuring I do not change anything said by the artist. To ensure this doesn't happen I will be sure to follow the Defamation act of 2013 which ensures I Make sure to write articles to ensure that they are objective and not subjective as well as this I can ensure with my client through my talent release forum that my artist in an interview cannot say anything rude against anyone and will stick to the questions and will prevent me from gaining a bad reputation.

Location Recce

For my location I have chosen to do my shoot in Camden Town by the Camden market. The reason I chose this area is because of is easy accessibility and high population that it becomes easily recognisable to majority of people. This is also a rock central area so doing my pictures here has a hidden implication of representing rock and the area.
