Why I chose these photographs and why I didn't choose some of the others
Overall final photos I have chosen was photo 76 and 99, I have chosen these photos The reason I have chosen these photos is because I think that the natural lighting in the background as it gets progressively darker applies well to the theme of my magazine Front cover and DP spread. The confident positioning and posing of my artist in these images also connotes Rock and a powerful message as he is looking down at you slightly. This also conventionalises with the clothes Jack is wearing in this photo as It is a darker colour to fit a darker rock theme. The reason I decided to not use other photographs such as image 77 for my front cover and image 68 for my double page spread was due to several reasons. Image 77 had a worser lighting for my photoshoot which made my model seem strange colour wise, as well as this the pose I ended up making him go was also a bit too strange and didn't work very well with the idea I wanted for my rock magazine front cover which was a strong and confident individual and image 77 fit this ideal need. For my double page spread the reason I didn't choose other images such as image 68 was due to the camerawork, The angle of my cameras shot was slightly off as well as the lighting which seemed unprofessional and bad. I had also seen that my model was slightly smiling in this image which completely neglected the outcome of a confident rock musician I was looking for. Image 99 fit the criteria I needed for my double page spread and represented a confident rock artist extremely well.
Photograph evidence of me setting up for my photoshoot:

The genre of my magazine being Rock music, needed to be something that could represent rock as a whole but as well was this be simple and able to understand.
I haven't edited the photo in this shot as this is the current base shot and was given permission to shoot this photo in the location I chose. I ended up cropping it so it was only Jack Tyler and the b background was gone as I believed it gave me a much wider option on what kind of magazine background I chose. The simple black shirt isn't edited within this picture but is made so you cannot see the Adidas logo very well which is good. Black is also one of the prime colours of Rock so it connotes well to my front cover which I made. The camera I also chose to use was on a tripod, this was done to give my photoshoot a stable image to have a proper evenly sized mid shot of my artist. I chose to shoot with this specific lighting for my main image of my front cover for a specific reason. The slightly darkened shot was taken mid day slightly going to night which allowed for. much more serious tone of effect in my background. This meant for me that I was able to present my artist in a much more confident and serious way.
This photo was also used for my double page spread:
For the double page spread image I needed to create a visually confident artist image which had a strong personality and conveyed with my colour scheme of red white and black. The use of a black shirt and darker lighting from natural daylight allowed me to really amplify the use of a darker theme. The use of a Nikon D3100 camera is a good quality camera which allowed to me to get a strong focus on my main image/ artist Jack Tyler. To personify this I ended up deciding to not even. I end up using this lighting and removing the background so I can add a textured black background to go with the dark colour scheme. As for body language, The reason I had jack my artist cross his arms for the double page spread was to show a superior/more dominant stance among the double page spread. Doing this could arguable have worked with a low shot looking up at him but I felt that just wasn't correct in this situation. I wanted my audience to feel intimidated by jack but not scared or weak in anyway just to be aware jack is the main focus of my DP spread and is dominant. Jacks hair style is also very conventional to rock in this shot, it follows a lot of modern trendy rock artist hair styles and allows for me to also have another way to represent rock.
Below are two screenshots of me setting up my double page spread and my front cover as well as the sizing of my paper sizes for my dp spread and front cover.

Whats it like being an up and coming artist? And how has this progressively changed?
For me presonally, being an up and coming rock artist was and still is pretty hard if im honest. Ive had past gigs where the area is rough or people are starting fights. I had to keep on performng to get myself a record label and gain some success it ahs definatlet been worth it though, i wouldnt be where i am today without going through those experiences.
How has rock music influenced your life?
Rock has been something I've been able To connect with on many levels and has helped me to understand myself more as a person and my decisions. Its also has been a source of output for me in a sense of me being able to express myself and feelings that I am often scared of expressing myself.
What is your favourite type of rock music?
For me personally I love all rock. Its a perfect way to represent yourself as a confident person. However if I was to choose one person I would likely go with Hard Rock as I really enjoy listening to the aggressive vibe of it.
How do you find the difference in music
from North London (specifically Camden)
compared to other places.
Well Camden is essentially
a hub for Rock. It has allowed
so many people to be able
to express what they love to
do and enjoy music by doing what
they love. This includes
performing in places such as Underworld
where there is a lot of Hard rock and places
like KOKO which is classic Rock mostly
but has variety.
How has your family shown support
Through your music career.
My family has shown great support
through my music career and efforts
, they have allowed me to continue
doing what i love with a passion and
maximum effort, because of this i am
able to be who i am today and without
my family , i would likely be in a very
rough spot in life.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Id have to say if there was someone I
could go out with it would likely be
Emma wattson as ive met her and she
was super kind and caring compared to
most people that i talk to.
