Planning and preparing a pitch (P3,M2 U21)

Learning Outcome 2 (U21):Be able to create a proposal and pitch for an original media product based on a given brief

(P3,M2 U21)

My first pitch ^

1) How do you plan to generate revenue?

My plans to generate revenue are to create partnerships with music venues who are presenting artists, by doing this I'm able to get a shared profit of the venues revenue as well as promote their artists for my magazine. As well as this I plan on having lots of advertisements on my hard copy of my magazine and online copy as well as social media pages.

2) How will your USP be funded?

My USP will be funded through the advertisements used on the online social medias and website where the giveaway will take place. This allows me to be able to afford the tickets used to promote my social media pages as well as give the readers a great chance to win some tickets to rock concerts!

3) Where would the gap in the market be for your magazine?

My gap in the market would be a high quality rock magazine at a low and affordable price, this means my magazine will be very identifiable. This means that my magazine will be widely sought out as a good affordable magazine therefore will gain publicity and more sales meaning more recognition overtime.

4) How much money would you need? and how much can we expect back?

To kick the magazine off I would need a loan of 100,000 to mass produce at the quality I have chosen so I can produce the good quality magazines at a quick and efficient manufacturing standard. Doing this will allow me to quickly make back on the money that you the client invests and therefore will be a good way for you to quickly make back money.

5) what other content does your product have?

My product also has content based around the meaning behind the lyrics of the rock musicians artists. This would be an extra edition to my magazine as another dp spread however not my main DP spread. It would contain a top artists music and the meaning behind the lyrics and what it meant to them as a story etc.

6) Where do you see your product in the future?

Adapting to what society demands and still being a popular rock magazine by consistently adapting to rock society as well as creating a wide amount of new and trendy ideas for my magazine to make them just that more interesting and fun to read for all ages and my target audience.

Here is my improved pitch:

My font named HolyFont did not work through slideshare so you can see my font here

I have changed the colour scheme and background of my presentation for my client to be pitched as well as shortened down the information in my pitch to make the reader more interested and less bored (IE CLIENT) I also added a wide range of pictures to my magazine to add more colour and conventionalise the idea of a rock genre into my pitch as well as using my colour scheme of red white and black to further this. I have also added some extra slides such as advertisements as this was also lacking in information.
