Post-Production techniques and processes (P5, U3)

Learning Outcome 4 (U3):Be able to carry out post-production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief.

Strengths and Weaknesses of my Front Cover
I have exported these as JPEG images so that the client is able to open the files.

Some of the strengths of my front cover of my magazine is the initial notice to my main cover line, the use of a unique font to symbolise jack Tyler by saying that this font is for specifically him attracts the reader as well as the unique colour scheme of a bright vibrant colour in a typically darker background really attracts peoples attention. The use of a serious rough font for my masthead also represents the genre of rock which I have been doing well. the use of a bold and simple font for my cover lines also allows them to stand out well whiles being able to keep the attention focused on the main cover line. I have followed the briefs requirements also to use a JPEG for both my front cover and Double page and by doing this have also given my magazine a high quality finish on my online copies which will of course follow on to my hard copies.
Some of the weaknesses of my front cover is the lack of use of tools such as a puff on my magazine front cover. If I had included this I could have potentially made my magazine more enticing for my target audience of 18-40 to look at as there is  less dead space on the front cover. To apply to my target audience people who enjoy rock and are at a varied range of ages will also feel that this magazine doesn't have an amazing amount of content to offer due to a less cluttered front cover, essentially a lack of content on the front cover could be a downfall here. Another weakness could potentially be that the background is too dark, because of this the actual body of my main image is blending with the background too much so its hard to see what he is wearing.

Strengths and Weaknesses of my Double Page spread

Some of the strengths of my double page spread is the extremely neat and simple format for my written article. I have also used the same font style for the title of the body text as well as added a third font to create a really appealing title to make you want to read the article more. I have also added my QR code to promote my online edition and target my younger audience whiles interesting all ages.I have followed the briefs requirements also to use a JPEG for both my front cover and Double page and by doing this have also given my magazine a high quality finish on my online copies which will of course follow on to my hard copies. Some of the disadvantages of my double page spread is the simple main image, I could have used different clothing for my double page as I could have connoted the genre of rock in a different way in this double page spread.
